A total of 8 therapeutic units were performed over the period of 4 weeks. There were three main factors, that were evaluated - the number of migraine attacks and how many times use of acute analgesics was needed in the last 4 weeks before the start of the intervention and during the 4-week acupressure intervention. The third factor was a quality of life - the input and output examination was performed using the Migraine Specific Quality of Life Questionnaire Version 2.1, which assesses the impact of migraine on an individual's quality of life. Migraineurs in the control group were only using triptan medicine and did not undergo any other therapy. This group recorded the number of migraine attacks and the frequency of use of acute analgesics in the same way as the...
Možnosti fyzioterapie u bolestí hlavy vertebrogenního původu
FRIDRICHOVSKÝ, Radek
This bachelor thesis deals with the possibilities of physiotherapeutic intervetion of headaches of vertebrogenic etiology. The therapy of all patients is based off of the same principle and a similar approach resp. manual treatment of overworked and shortened muscles, adjusting the breathing stereotype, correcting basic movement stereotypes, engaging of the deep stabilisation system through picked exercises and exercising autotherapy given to the patient. The thesis is divided into two parts. The theoretical part is focused on anatomical structures related to the issue, following is the clinical picture and differential diagnosis of headaches, prevalence and possibilities of physiotherapy. Practical part is comprised of the exercise unit, made using the methods from the theoretical part, and the actual research, processed in the qualitative form, containing the entry and final kinesiological examination alongside the course of therapy of three female patients of similar age. Based on the entry kinesiological examination each patient had their exercise unit tailored for them, which the patient was instructed to exercise three times a week. The research was planned for two months, with two out of three patients having the total of 8 sessions, the first patient was unable to attend two therapies due to COVID-19 infection. There is a summary and the achieved effect described at the end of each case study. Next i focus on discussion, in which i summarize the aspects of the theoretical part with the results of the practical part, i also include a few recent publications focused on headaches and way of treating them. The thesis is finished with a summary and a list of used sources.

Prevention of postural defects in the population
Langmajerová, Jana ; Müllerová, Dana (advisor) ; Novák, Jaroslav (referee) ; Dlouhý, Pavel (referee)
This dissertation aims at verifying methodology used for somatographic evaluation of the shape and statics of the spine. The potential of the methodology verified lies in increased objectivity of upright body posture evaluation and thereby contributes to the specification of preventative measures for postural defects, and their consequences. Under a cross-sectional pilot study, a non-invasive somatographic method-a diagnostic DPT-3 system designated for spine shape diagnostics-was used to examine selected biomechanical parameters (spinal curves and statics in the sagittal plane in the upright position) in a total of 508 probands. Of this, 326 were school-age children and 182 adults. Among the key parameters monitored were: Cl (depth of cervical lordosis); LI (depth of lumbar lordosis); the sagittal balance of Cl/Ll, and VThk (distance of the peak of the thoracic kyphosis from the ideal verticals-IV). A questionnaire was used to evaluate the level of movement activity in probands and the relation between the occurrence of painful back and headaches and the measurement of biomechanical parameters and movement activity. A total of 81.3 % of children and 94.5 % of adults were found to have deviations from the biomechanically ideal posture model, which signals a postural defect. The values of the Cl (p...

Title of diploma thesis: Pharmacoteraphy of headache in adults Headache is one of the most common health problem that encounters almost everyone during the life. The determination of the right diagnosis is essential for the choice of appropriate therapy. For primary headache are typical negative test results, there are no structural lesions or signs of organic brain damage. Diagnostics is comlicated and it is primarily based on a carefully processed medical history. In the therapy of primary headache are used both pharmacological and non-pharmacological methods, optimaly in combination. Pharmacological treatment consists of preventive and acute therapy.
